Assistant Minister

Alan Wallis joined the team at Peachcroft Christian Centre (PCC) in 2010 in a part-time non-stipendiary role. He continues to preach, lead worship and demonstrate his various skills as he ministers to all who come to PCC, whether for Sunday services or on Tuesdays for Café Eden.
Alan was Licensed as a Lay Minister in March 1992 at St George's Garrison Church, Celle (north west of Hanover) by Bishop David Smith, the Bishop to the Armed Forces, while serving with 14 Signal Regiment (EW).
He left Germany and the Regular Army in 1995 to take up the post of Parish Administrator at St Mary's Church, Reigate. In addition he was active as a Licensed Lay Minister and playing in and helping to lead the worship band.
He moved to St Matthew's, Oxford in 2001 to become their Parish Co-ordinator. He was Licensed at Christ Church Cathedral, and began preaching and leading at St Matthew's and St Luke's. His musical skills were again demonstrated in leading and playing in the worship group.
At the end of July 2007 he took on the role as Membership Development Officer with the Armed Forces Christian Union. This included organising three National Days of Prayer for the Armed Forces at various London locations, visiting members and setting up and running conferences in UK and Germany. He was involved in leading activity events, taking services, running the AFCU stand at New Wine and various summer shows. He helped to set up the first Alpha Course at the Military Correctional Training Centre in Colchester and a myriad other tasks both large and small.
